PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior forward Elijah Childs (Kansas City, Mo./Lee's Summit West) has been named the first Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week of the 2020-21 school year announced Tuesday after earning all-tournament honors at the season-opening Xavier Invitational.
In addition to his all-tournament honors, Childs was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week Monday following the three games at the Xavier Invitational where he averaged 15.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, 2.0 steals and 2.3 assists per contest. The senior forward scored a season-best 17 points against the host Musketeers on Thursday, while adding his first double-double of the season in Friday's win against Oakland with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
