Eastern Illinois’ torrid shooting dooms Bradley in 73-66 loss

PEORIA — Eastern Illinois shot 54 percent on 3-pointers, making 13 of 24, en route to a 73-66 upset of Bradley before 5,186 Saturday at Carver Arena.

EIU (6-5) took the lead for good early in the second half 40-38. It was the second consecutive loss at home for Bradley (7-4).

The Panthers extended the lead to 11 before BU fought back to within 64-62 at 1:04. Free throws sealed it for EIU.

Bradley freshman center Ari Boya, sidelined all season with an ankle injury, made his college debut with six points, four rebounds and two blocked shots.
