OAKLAND, Calif. – Illinois State baseball's fifth-year senior Derek Salata was selected by the u200bOakland Athletics in the u200b19th round and u200b556th overall in the 2023 MLB Draft on Tuesday afternoon, joining teammate Elijah Dale as ISU's 2023 draftees as Dale was picked in the 13th round by the Seattle Mariners earlier Tuesday.
