Davis, Edgar help Redbirds turn back Northern Arizona

Knocked on their heels by the early passing prowess of Northern Arizona quarterback Case Cookus, the Redbirds stormed back to claim a 40-27 nonconference victory before a Hancock Stadium crowd of 9,891.

Quarterback Brady Davis, who had 31 yards passing last week and 348 over ISU's first three games, exploded for a career-high 419 passing yards with Andrew Edgar hauling in career highs of 12 receptions and 228 receiving yards.

With a 42-yard Davis pass to Taylor Grimes setting the stage, Robinson broke loose for 20-yard touchdown charge. ISU extended its advantage to 37-21 at the 3:44 mark of the third quarter on a 53-yard bomb from Davis to Edgar.
