ORLANDO – Illinois State senior David Perkins continues to draw in the accolades and opportunities due to his strong career, as he was recently selected as one of 16 competitors for the United States Golf Association (USGA) Palmer Cup. Perkins currently has a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) of 40.
The 16 players will attend a practice session from Dec. 16 to Dec. 18, and the three days of practice will be held at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge and Lake Nona Country Club, in Orlando.
"What an honor for Perkins to be among the few invited to the Walker Cup practice session by the USGA's team selection committee," said Illinois State head men's golf coach Ray Kralis.
