ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Illinois State senior David Perkins has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week announced by the conference office on Thursday, February 25.
It is Perkins' first honor of the 2021 spring season, and the 12th of his career, which puts him with the second-most Golfer of the Week honors in MVC history, trailing on the 14 from Dustin Garza of Wichita State.
At the 2021 Border Olympics, Perkins finished a stroke over par with rounds of 72, 73, and 72, placing 12th individually, helping the Redbirds to an eight-place finish in the strong 18-team field.
