PEORIA — As the weeks have gone by in his senior year at Bradley, Darrell Brown has steadily climbed a list upon which he never imagined himself scaling.
With 1,705 career points at BU, Brown is now ninth on the all-time BU scoring list. This season, he’s passed Al Smith, James Gillingham, Jim Carruthers, Rob Dye, Deon Jackson, Marcellus Sommerville, L.C. Bowen, Gene Melchiorre, Andrew Warren, Anthony Parker and Phillip Gilbert.
There are three more illustrious BU names — Voise Winters (1,714), Walt Lemon (1,721) and Joe Allen (1,763) — he likely will pass before settling in as the sixth-best scorer in Bradley history.
