ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Junior Danya Kingsby of the Bradley men's basketball team was honored as the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.
Kingsby recorded a pair of breakout performances last week — averaging 20.0 points and 4.0 assists, while shooting 66.7 percent from the field (16-24) and 62.5 percent from 3-point range (5-8).
The junior entered the week with his career high in points for a game at 13 and nearly topped that in Wednesday's road victory at Missouri State, tallying 12 points to go with three assists.
