NORMAL – Illinois State left fielder Daniel Pacella turned in a spectacular diving catch in the eighth inning Friday at Duffy Bass Field.
In the ninth, Pacella smashed a baseball nobody could catch.
Pacella hammered a 1-2 pitch from Indiana State reliever Cam Edmonson over the right-field wall for a 4-3 walk-off victory over the Missouri Valley Conference leading Sycamores.
