NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State redshirt junior Mary Crompton has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, as announced by the organization Thursday afternoon. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
She is one of 48 NCAA Division I student-athletes named to the prestigious list and the only player from the Missouri Valley Conference. The Iowa City, Iowa-native now advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot to be announced in mid-March.
Crompton recently became the first Redbird to ever record 60+ three-pointers in three different seasons, as she went 5-for-10 from deep to finish with 19 points in ISU's win over Valparaiso on Sunday.
