EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Illinois State softball's Andrea Coursey and Mack Leonard have each earned a spot on the 2021 Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament Team.
Coursey, who entered the tournament with an eight-game hitting streak, accounted for both of ISU's run in its 7-2 setback to Southern Illinois on Friday, as the senior used an RBI single in the third inning to help the Illinois State jump on the board and a sac fly in the Redbirds' seventh-inning rally to scratch another run across. Leonard, who earned her seventh start in right field for the Redbirds in Friday's semifinal contest, turned in her team-leading 18th multi-hit game of the season, while extending her reached base streak to 26 games.
