NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State sophomore gymnast Gabrielle Cooke was named the Midwest Independent Conference Performer of the Week for the third time this season on Wednesday, following a strong individual performance last Sunday in Illinois State's win against Centenary.
Cooke scored a career-best of 9.900 on the floor, and won the event by 0.100. The sophomore standout also won the vault (9.825), tied for first on beam (9.775), and tied for second on the bars (9.750). The Chicago, Illinois, native won the all-around title at the event with a career-best score of 39.
