NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State senior Gabrielle Cooke and freshman Angelica Labat have both been recognized by the Midwest Independent Conference for their strong performances against No. 17 BYU last Friday at Horton Field House.
For the second time this season, Cooke was honored by the MIC this time as Gymnast of the Week. Cooke was previously honored with the Performance of the Week award, thanks to a stellar effort on the floor in the tri-meet for the Redbirds against Bowling Green and Temple.
