Illinois State's volleyball team opened the Oral Roberts Tournament with a pair of three-set wins Friday at Tulsa, Okla.
The Redbirds (5-1) posted a 25-13, 25-17, 25-13 sweep of Arkansas-Little Rock before also winning in straight sets over Oral Roberts.
Sarah Kushner had 14 kills and Kaylee Martin 13 against Little Rock for the Redbirds, who received 28 assists from Stef Jankiewicz. Kendal Meier led in digs with seven. ISU's 16 aces were its most since 1999, led by Carley Nicholson with seven.
