Junior Rob Wuethrich earned medalist honors Tuesday with a 3-under par 68 to lead Illinois Wesleyan to the title in the CCIW Preview Tournament at Illinois State's Weibring Golf Club.
Wuethrich, a Normal Community High School graduate, won by two shots over teammate Skylar Le Vine and Millikin's Tyler Reitz. IWU had a 285 total while the Titans' B team took second in the 12-team event with a 295.
Men's soccer wins: IWU's men's soccer team received goals from Donovan Malone, Patrick Hickey and Logan Servin in a 3-1 victory over visiting Dubuque.
Soccer players honored: Illinois Wesleyan's Caelyn Steffens and Maria Fields were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Soccer Players of the Week.
