Zouras helped ISU earn a share of the MVC regular season title this past weekend with a series victory over Evansville. The senior slashed .538/.538/.769 in the three-game series, going 7-for-13 with three doubles, six RBIs and four runs scored.
The No. 2 seeded Redbirds will open the MVC tournament at 3 p.m. Wednesday against either No. 6 Bradley or No. 8 Southern Illinois at Duffy Bass Field.
Record GPA: Illinois State student-athletes set a semester departmental grade-point average (GPA) record of 3.31 during the spring semester, topping the previous mark of 3.24 set the previous two semesters.
