Illinois State's Caitlin Sims carded a 7-over-par 79 in Tuesday’s third and final round of the William & Mary’s Kingsmill Intercollegiate at Williamsburg, Va., to finish seventh.
Despite wind and rain, Sims helped her team shoot 320 to finish fifth with a 932 total. Akron won with a 911. Sims' 228 total included earlier rounds of 77 and 72.
ISU's Kiley Walsh tied for 10th (230) while teammate Paige Seiser tied for 29th (239). Rounding out the Redbird efforts were Abby Luchtenburg (244) and Morgan Savage (249).
