College report 11/30/18: ISU adds 14 for track, cross country

NORMAL — Illinois State director of track & field and cross country Jeff Bovee announced the addition of 14 student-athletes to the Redbird squad during the fall signing period Thursday, including Eureka High School distance runner Emma Argo and Lexington jumps and sprinter Tate Walcott.

Thirteen individuals will join the team for the 2019-20 season, while Aanise Sajna will be eligible to compete immediately.

On the women’s side, the newest Redbirds besides Argo are: Paige Arseneau, Pekin, distance; Mackenzie Brownrigg, Lincoln-Way Central, distance; Grace Daun, Wauconda, high jump; Zofia LeHew, Brimfield, high jump; Sajna, Dunlap, jumps; Emma Smith, Carlinville, pole vault; and Danielle Taets, Orion, jumps and hurdles.
