Illinois State senior David Perkins has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week after his performance at the Bearcat Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Perkins finished 11 strokes under par (202) to place third out of 75 golfers in a strong field.
The honor is Perkins’ second this season and ninth of his career. In nine rounds he has played this fall, he has not finished over par, averaging 68.6 per tournament and three strokes under par per round.
