Sophomore Rob Wuethrich was medalist as the Illinois Wesleyan men's golf team won by six strokes Tuesday in the Gordin Collegiate Classic at Columbus (Ohio) Country Club.
IWU had a 14-under par 850 (285-278-287) in the 13-team event, ahead of second place Emory at 8-under 856 (286-291-279).
Wuethrich, a Normal Community High School graduate, had a final round 3-under 69 to finish at 209 (69-71-69), one shot ahead of Logan Ryan of Emory.
IWU sophomore Andrew Abel tied for sixth at 214 (75-65-74) and senior Ben Johnson tied for 10th at 215 (70-71-74).
