College Report 03/06/17: Titans bats pound out a pair of wins

The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team hammered out 28 hits and ran its season-opening record to 4-0 with a pair of victories on Sunday at Lenz Field in Jacksonville.

Ben Manski and Garrett Shea both homered and drove in four runs to lead the Titans to a 12-9 win over Lawrence in their first game of the day.

Jarrod Juskiewicz chipped in three hits and three runs while Tim Smyk drove in two runs for IWU, which jumped out to a 5-0 first inning lead.

Lawrence battled back to make it a 9-all contest before the Titans scored three times in the top of the ninth for the win.
