PEORIA — Elijah Childs got the cast off his right hand Monday and launched a solo cardio program during Bradley’s afternoon practice, but won’t return to game action for at least a week, according to BU coach Brian Wardle.
“That’s what we’re anticipating,” Wardle said. “We’ll see how it heals and feels. We’ll take it slow this week and then hopefully it’s day by day after that. We’ll see.”
That means Bradley’s top scorer and rebounder will miss the Braves’ first two Missouri Valley Conference games this week – Tuesday at Carver Arena vs. reigning MVC co-champion Drake at 6 p.
