CEDAR FALLS, Iowa. – Illinois State soccer extended its unbeaten streak to seven straight games with a 1-0 victory over UNI in Cedar Falls, Iowa Saturday afternoon.
In the opening minutes of the contest, each squad fought for its own share of possession. As the two teams battled for possession, the first shot in the contest was made in the 17th minute by Illinois State, which led to a corner.
With the Redbirds beginning to gain momentum in the game, Sophomore Kaya Durkee delivered the corner that would deflect off the crossbar and keep the matchup level at 0-0.
