Carthage brings CCIW's top defense into IWU homecoming

Andrew Ostrowski knows that is Carthage's defense, not Illinois Wesleyan's. However, the Titan senior linebacker realizes there is plenty of time left in the season to change that.

The Titans' defense has done a 180-degree turn since the season opener when it allowed 460 yards in a 35-31 loss to Wisconsin-La Crosse. IWU has given up an average of 265 yards and 13.7 points in the last three games.

"I think it was pretty much nerves," said Ostrowski of the first-game struggles. "None of the linebackers this year had started a game (before). Once we got past that first snap, it's going back to trusting coaches and teammates and just playing football.
