DES MOINES, Iowa – Bradley Women's Basketball turned in its best defensive effort in the series with Drake in eight years, but the Bulldogs used a 13-0 fourth-quarter run to take control of a tightly contested matchup as the Braves fell 71-56 Friday at the Knapp Center in the Missouri Valley Conference opener for both squads.
Junior Lasha Petree paced three Bradley players in double figures with a game-high 14 points and also collected five rebounds, four blocks and four steals to lead the Braves (4-4 overall, 0-1 MVC). West Branch, Iowa, native Tatum Koenig was 3-for-5 from three-point range, finishing with 11 points, while senior Nyjah White scored all 10 of her points in the second half.
