NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After tossing a no-hitter last week against St. Thomas, senior Grace French gave up just three hits in a complete game effort against North Alabama Friday afternoon at the Bruins Classic; but Bradley came up on a wrong end of a pitcher's duel as the Lions edged the Braves 1-0.
Neither team had many scoring chances with both teams taking shutout bids into the seventh. The teams combined for eight hits with North Alabama (19-5 overall) starter Maci Birdyshaw answering with a five-hit complete game shutout.
