EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Taise Thompson hit a grand slam to highlight the day for Bradley Softball, but Evansville belted a combined six homers in both games as the Aces topped the Braves 6-4 and 10-4 Saturday afternoon to open a three-game Missouri Valley Conference series Saturday afternoon.
In the opener, Evansville (22-19 overall, 10-12 MVC) jumped out to a 4-0 lead with a grand slam in the bottom of the first. The Aces had a runner at first with two outs when Jessica Fehr singled for the first hit of the contest and UE loaded the bases with a walk by Jenna Lis.
