PEORIA — Darrell Brown finally landed a first-team recognition on Monday.
The Bradley senior guard, who led the Braves to their second successive Missouri Valley Conference tournament title two weeks ago, earned a spot on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) all-District 16 first team.
Tweeted Brown on Monday: "From snubbed to this. Thank you, God!"
District 16 is made up solely of MVC players. Brown was joined on the first team by two UNI standouts — guard AJ Green and center Austin Phyfe — along with Loyola’s Cameron Krutwig and Valparaiso’s Javon Freeman-Liberty.
