PEORIA — Bradley University women’s basketball finished on a low last spring when the COVID pandemic shut down what had been a terrific season in 2019-20.
Well, head coach Andrea Gorski’s crew started the 2020-21 season on an all-time high Tuesday when it was voted No. 2 in the Missouri Valley Conference preseason rankings.
It’s the highest preseason ranking in the history of the BU program. With the ranking comes high expectations for the Braves, particularly for junior guard Lasha Petree and senior guard Gabi Haack.
Petree was named MVC preseason Player of the Year while two-time all-MVC selection Haack was named to the preseason all-conference team.
