Oxford, Miss. – The Bradley track and field teams opened competition at the Joe Walker Invite on the campus of Ole Miss on Friday night. Two Braves set school records before inclement weather postponed the final events of the day into Saturday.
Senior Alec Hartman topped his own school record in the 800m to open the action for the Braves. Hartman clocked a time of 1:48.74 to top his previous standard of 1:49.10 by 36 hundredths of a second. His time is also tied for the 12th-best mark in Missouri Valley Conference history and is the second-best time by a conference runner in the last 12 years.
