Peoria, Ill. – Sophomore Carson Husmann hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning to lift the Bradley baseball team to a 5-3 win over Indiana State on Sunday in a rubber contest of a key three-game Missouri Valley series. With the win, the Braves improve to 16-25 on the season and 7-8 in MVC action, while the Sycamores drop to 23-16 and 8-7 versus league foes.
Needing a win to stay within striking distance of a first-round bye for the MVC Tournament, Bradley found itself trailing, 2-1, in the bottom of the seventh.
