CHICAGO — Two hours before Bradley tipped at Loyola on Saturday, the Braves learned that, win or lose, they were the No. 5 seed in next week’s Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
Loyola, meanwhile, had a much different pre-game reality to ponder. The Ramblers had to win to capture the No. 1 seed and repeat as Valley regular-season champions, possibly having to share it this time. A loss would mean a No. 2 seed and the chance of missing out on that repeat title.
