PEORIA — Bradley landed its first commitment for the 2021-22 season Monday with a verbal pledge from 6-foot-2 guard Connor Hickman of Bloomington (Ind.) South High School.
Hickman, who will be a senior this fall at Bloomington South, received offers from Furman, Ball State, Toledo, Evansville, Wofford and Elon and visited Elon, Evansville and Furman.
“They all had great campuses,” Hickman said. “But none of them spoke to me like Bradley did.”
Hickman averaged 15 points, four rebounds and three assists for Bloomington South, shooting 40% on 3s and nearly 90% from the free-throw line.
He visited Bradley twice last winter, taking in the Braves’ 72-61 win over Indiana State on Feb.
