For the seventh-straight season, both Bradley cross country programs finished in the top two at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship as both the men's and women's programs were runner-up at Friday's title meet.
Freshman Nicola Jansen led the Bradley women in the afternoon's first race of the day, running the 6K course in 21:02.3 to finish third overall. With her performance, Jansen was named Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year as her third-place finish marked the second-best by a BU rookie in school history (Nicole Benson placed second in 2009).
Junior Sophia McDonnell joined Jansen on the All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team for the second-straight season as she placed ninth overall with a time of 21:30.
