ST. LOUIS — For the first time since Bradley won the Missouri Valley Conference tournament championship last March, the Braves returned to The Lou on Tuesday for the league’s basketball media day.
In the Tuesday event at the Missouri Athletic Club, the Braves (coach Brian Wardle and returning standouts Darrell Brown and Elijah Childs) experienced a rare preseason relevance.
“It’s great to see Bradley basketball back on track,” said MVC commissioner Doug Elgin. “Everybody knows the great tradition and history of Bradley basketball. To see this happen in my tenure is very exciting.”
In recent decades, the Braves haven’t been mentioned much at the annual media day as a potential contender.
