PEORIA — Friday afternoon was set aside earlier this week as a time for the Missouri Valley Conference tournament champion Bradley Braves to address with the local media their NCAA hopes and dreams.
Instead, after Thursday's unprecedented cancellation of the NCAA tournament because of coronavirus fears, Friday arrived with the BU players being interviewed in their practice gym discussing the end of their season. And for the three seniors, the end of their careers.
This was fittingly a Friday the 13th, the day after the phrase “March Madness” took on a whole new connotation when One Shining Moment became One Shocking Day.
