BLOOMINGTON — Ellie Weltha starred in softball, basketball, track and field and, as senior, earned first-team all-conference honors in volleyball as well at Bloomington High School.
Wednesday, Weltha announced she wants to get back to that multi-sport existence after playing softball only as a freshman this season at Illinois State.
"Coming out of high school as a four-sport athlete, I knew it was going to be tough being a single-sport athlete (at ISU)," Weltha said. "It (her year at ISU) was amazing and everything I could ask for, but I really did miss being a multi-sport athlete.
