PEORIA, IL – Senior 3B Brendan Dougherty extended his hit streak to 15 games as Bradley (15-16, 7-6 MVC) split a doubleheader against visiting Valparaiso (12-24, 7-11 MVC) Friday night at Dozer Park. The Braves rolled to a 9-5 win in the opener, but managed just two hits in a 2-1 setback in the 7-inning nightcap.
The teams are scheduled to play single games at 1 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, but may switch to an 11 a.m. doubleheader Saturday in an effort to beat expected rain across the region as the weekend progresses.
