CARBONDALE, IL – With a misty rain falling as Thursday's suspended game resumed, Dallas Baptist outfielder River Town hit a pair of home runs in the seventh and eighth inning and finished the lengthy game with seven RBI's, leading the top-seeded Patriots (35-15) to a 10-5 win against No. 3 seed Bradley (20-22) Friday at Itchy Jones Stadium.
The loss ends Bradley's season at the MVC Baseball Championship, while DBU advances to Saturday's winner's bracket final, where the Patriots will face either No. 2 seed Indiana State or No. 4 seed Southern Illinois.
Thursday's Game 7 of the MVC Baseball Championship was suspended in the middle of the sixth inning with DBU leading 4-2 after the Patriots rallied with four runs in the fifth inning.
