DES MOINES, Iowa – Sophomore Ariel Atias won his second MVC title of the weekend and broke the Illinois State school record with a win in the decathlon, as he totaled 7347 points across the ten events.
With the win, Atias becomes the first Valley student-athlete since 2018 to sweep both the indoor heptathlon and outdoor decathlon in the same season.

Redshirt senior Logan Calvin finished as the runner-up in the men's shot put with a throw of 20.24m (66-5). In an unreal final round of throws, Calvin took the lead over UNI's Darius King with his new personal best.
