ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Valley Conference named 30 Illinois State track & field student-athletes to the 2020 MVC Track & Field Scholar-Athlete team for their efforts in their sport and in the classroom on Tuesday.
Both the Redbird men's and women's teams led the Valley in number of student-athletes selected to the MVC Scholar-Athlete team. The Illinois State men had 10 student-athletes get selected, tying with Loyola for the most members to make the team. The women's squad, who are the back-to-back-to-back MVC Indoor Champions, had a Valley-leading 20 student-athletes meet the qualifications to make the scholar-athlete team.
