CHAMPAIGN — Juice Williams spent his final day on the job Saturday at Illinois. The team’s director of alumni and former player relations greeted ex-Illini at the spring game and annual barbecue.
If not for a golden opportunity presented to his family, Williams would have stayed at Illinois. Happily.
“There have been a few assumptions that have been made or people speculating that I’m leaving the program on bad terms, but that’s completely not the case,” Williams said.
Williams’ wife Jamillah, an Illinois law school graduate, received an offer to teach at her alma mater, Georgetown.
