CHAMPAIGN — The SEC was the last of the power conferences Champaign Central’s Tim Finke hadn’t received a scholarship offer from. That changed Tuesday, with the 6-foot-6 junior guard securing an offer from first-year Commodores coach Bryce Drew.
The Vanderbilt offer is Finke’s 14th total and sixth this month. He received four offers — Marquette, Iowa State, Oregon and Kansas State — last week when college coaches were allowed to contact him directly for the first time.
Finke is the 10th Class of 2018 recruit with a Vanderbilt offer. He’s just the second, though, offered by Drew, who was hired in April to replace Kevin Stallings.
