Former Illinois men’s basketball players Tal Brody, Mannie Jackson and Johnny “Red” Kerr were among the eligible candidates listed on this year’s ballot for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. All three have previously appeared on the ballot, and this year’s finalists will be announced Feb. 12 at NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto.
UI volleyball 15th in final poll. Illinois finished the 2015 season ranked 15th in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association poll released Monday. The Illini (21-13) advanced to the Sweet 16 for the sixth time in seven seasons this month before losing to eventual national semifinalist Minnesota.
