IOWA CITY, Iowa — A three-homer attack let Illinois baseball earn a split Saturday in a conference doubleheader against Iowa.

Doran Turchin, Trent Hammond and Jason Goldstein went yard as the Illini won Game 2 against the Hawkeyes, 10-4. The result followed a 4-3, 10-inning defeat for Illinois in Game 1.

In the second game, Goldstein and Hammond hit two-run homers in the first and second inning, respectively. Turchin added a grand slam in the fifth for the Illini (13-15, 4-4 Big Ten).

In Game 1, Illinois bounced back from a 3-0 deficit after three innings, tying the game on an RBI single from Luke Shilling in the ninth inning.
