CHAMPAIGN — Illini rising senior guard Malcolm Hill was chosen to compete at the Nike Basketball Academy, which is scheduled Monday through Wednesday in Los Angeles.
In its second year, the Nike Basketball Academy will host top prep athletes and select college players for training that includes 5-on-5 games, skill workouts, drills and film sessions. Besides the competition, attendees will receive guidance from NBA players including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis.
As a junior last season, Hill was the only player in the Big Ten to lead his team in scoring, rebounding and assists.
