Why he’s a fit at Illinois
The Illini haven’t had many players that could play above the rim in the John Groce era. Lewis, a 6-foot-6 small forward, would change that immediately. Beyond explosive athleticsm is a consistent jump shot and solid rebounding ability.

Like Malachi Richardson, Lewis has a scorer’s mentality. They’re both capable of getting to the rim and finishing strong and just as comfortable stepping out to the perimeter to knock down threes.
