CHAMPAIGN — The potential for a semifinal showdown between one former Illinois All-American men's tennis player and one current Illini All-American still exists at the JSM Futures of Champaign-Urbana.
And a promising young talent for the Illini is still in the mix for the title, too, continuing his impressive run of play this summer..
Former Illini Dennis Nevolo, along with current Illini Aleks Vukic and Zeke Clark, all advanced on Wednesday with second-round victories and will play in the quarterfinals today at the JSM Futures.
Nevolo, an All-American at Illinois in 2011 and 2012, defeated Sam Riffice 6-3, 6-3 on Wednesday.
