The ESPNU play-by-play announcer knows the Mississippi campus well. He went to school there and still lives in Oxford.
Cross and analyst LANCE CORMIER are calling today's 3 p.m. game on ESPNU (radio coverage all weekend is on WDWS 1400-AM, with DAVE LOANE and JEFF HUTH on the call).
"I think it's a fun matchup because it's a couple of brand names," Cross said. "You're talking about Big Ten-ACC in an SEC ballpark.
