SOPHIE WATHEN loved the idea of attending college at Loyola.
Even before the Ramblers became a basketball school.
"When I decided on Loyola, I didn't really expect to be going to many sporting events, if any," the freshman from Champaign said. "I'd always been super involved in high school athletics, so it was hard for me to go to a school that didn't even have a football team. I was willing to give that up, though, since I loved the school so much.
"I would have never guessed that this would happen my freshman year!
